Lincoln departed AMC’s The Walking Dead in 2018. His character, Rick Grimes, is rumored to appear in the series’ foray to the big screen in a purported trilogy of movies. The Walking Dead spin-off, World Beyond, exists within the same universe as the AMC original. Its timeline and events are approximate to The Walking Dead, feeding into fans’ hopes and discussions when the IMDb listing first appeared online. World Beyond tells the story of the first generation of kids to grow up during the zombie apocalypse.
Created by Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete, The Walking Dead: World Beyond stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. The series airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
